Marisa Lucchese is a New York-based photographer who received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the State University of New York at New Paltz. Her work is concerned with making the invisible visible. She focuses on representing internal spaces using a raw and uncanny visual imagery in order to create discussions around difficult concepts like trauma and sexuality.

Her work has been exhibited in several virtual exhibitions as well as at Steinberg Hall Gallery (St. Louis, MO), SIUE Art and Design Gallery (Edwardsville, IL), City Art Space (Rochester, NY), Culture Lab LIC (Queens, NY), DENIZEN Theatre (New Paltz, NY), the Dorsky Museum of Art (New Paltz, NY), Unison Arts Center (New Paltz, NY), Sojourner Truth Library (New Paltz, NY), RedLine Contemporary Art Center (Denver, Colorado), and Space Place (Nizhny Tagil, Russia). She was the recipient of the Luigi and Anita Traverso Photography Award Endowment and received an honorable mention in the 22nd Julia Margaret Cameron Awards for Women Photographers. Her writing has been published on the fine art photography website Lenscratch.
